THE A+ PROGRAM (HOW’S AND WHY’S)

· Sign an A+ agreement form

· Attend an A+ high school for two (2) consecutive years prior to graduation

· Graduate from high school with a grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale

· Maintain a four-year attendance record of 95% or higher

· Two-years of tuition and some fees for Missouri community colleges, trade or vocational schools (valid for up to 4-years after graduation)

· Completing tutoring/service hours always looks good on a college or scholarship application!

· If you don’t foresee yourself at a community college, there are MANY colleges in Missouri that offer their own version of an A+ scholarship. For example, Truman and Missouri State Universities both offer $500 per year (that’s $2,000 over four years of college)! See the A+ office for a complete list of schools that offer A+ benefits.

· Job shadowing opportunities available as early as Freshmen year of high school.  Interested students may pick up a packet in the A+ Office or may view/print from the website.
