LAUNCH Summer School Program
For those participating in summer school, we wanted to make you aware of a number of policy changes as well as a required orientation meeting on June 3rd at 8:00 a.m. in the East High library.

Beginning this year Fort Zumwalt has partnered with an outside company to offer online summer school courses. The absolute last day to enroll in summer school is Monday, June 3rd.  This deadline has been set by the LAUNCH program, not Fort Zumwalt.  As a result, there will be no flexibility to this date.  Parents with students in need of credit, or who fear their child may need to make up credit, should contact the guidance office immediately.

Credits and course participation will be handled differently this year.  If a student fails a summer school course, the failing grade will be posted to the student’s transcript. This includes a situation where a student does not complete a course.  Once a student is enrolled in a course they are expected to complete it.  Students wishing to drop a course, must drop the course by the end of the day on June 5th.

These and more details including how to access courses will be discussed at our orientation meeting on June 3rd, at 8:00 a.m. in the East High library.

At this meeting, students will receive a Username and Password.  Students will not be able to access their class without this information.

District Chromebooks will also be distributed to students who have requested one.

Students will need to complete the Chromebook Rental Agreement and submit payment of $15 for the insurance fee.  Checks should be made payable to Fort Zumwalt School District.

Students who have qualified for Free / Reduced Lunch will be assessed a $7.50 insurance fee.

If your student would like access to a Chromebook you should contact the guidance department immediately. District personnel will need one or two business days to process a request.
