Draped American flag for Veterans Day Event on Monday, Nov. 11, 2024; Dinner at 5 pm and Concert Series at 6 pm

On Monday, November 11th, East High School and DuBray Middle School came together to honor Veterans in our community with a special Veterans Day Celebration. The event, held at Fort Zumwalt East, was a heartfelt tribute to those who have served in the armed forces, recognizing their contributions and sacrifices.

The evening began with a dinner in the commons, where Veterans and their families were warmly welcomed. It was a chance to share stories and build connections, while enjoying a meal together in appreciation of their service.

Following the dinner, attendees moved to the main gym for a concert, where students and faculty came together to showcase performances in celebration of Veterans and their positive impact on the community. The event was an excellent way to promote awareness of the importance of Veterans in our school and their influence on the lives of our students.

The celebration highlighted not only the service of our Veterans but also the importance of remembering their legacy and fostering a culture of respect and gratitude.

Thank you to everyone who helped organize and participated in this special evening! Pictures and video of the event can be found on our website on the new Military-Connected Families page.
