The Purple Star designation assures military families that East High provides the resources and support their children need to navigate school transitions, social challenges, and academic success. This recognition highlights the school's efforts, including dedicated military liaisons, staff training, and special events honoring service members and their families.

Assistant Principal Dr. Aaron Wright shares, “I’m incredibly proud of East High and our effort to serve this unique population. Military-connected families bring a wealth of life experiences that enhance our community. It’s been a fulfilling challenge to implement traditions that honor and celebrate these students and their families. I look forward to hearing their stories and helping them assimilate into the East High community. After all, we’re a team!”

East High will be recognized at an award ceremony in Jefferson City this April, during the Month of the Military Child, as DESE celebrates schools committed to military families.
