IT Professionals Day; Get to Know Mr. Walker: What is the best part of being an IT Specialist? I would have to say the best part of being in my position is I get to help people and solve their problems. When I come in, no one is ever upset to see me because they know I am only there to help. What advice would you give young people who want to get into the world of IT? Customer service first. Computer literacy second. Help out people from a position of understanding. Do not be condescending to anyone for not having a deep understanding of a computer. We all drive cars every day and the majority of people take them to a shop for repairs, computers are no different. What is your favorite high school memory? My friends and I going to El Monstero at The Pageant over Christmas break for the first time. Back when tickets were affordable and all piling into my friend's hand-me-down compact car to make it to the show. That car did not have a working heater. It didn't matter, we were all too excited. What is your go to snack? If there is a fresh honey crisp apple within reach, it will probably be eaten. If you could trade places with any staff member for a day, who would it be? Chuck France because he's THE MAN.
Homecoming Week begins October 6! If you want to bring a guest that is not an East High Student, you will need to fill out a guest permission form that must be signed by your guest’s principal. The guest permission form is in the main office or the website: https://5il.co/3plqw
